RISC Institute’s Research Security Training and Programs Highlighted at ASCE 2025
Feb. 26, 2025 – The RISC Institute’s Associate Director, Zach Carwile, recently attended the ASCE 2025 conference in College Station, where he participated in a highly anticipated Q&A session with members of the research community. The session, which saw standing room only, underscored the growing interest and importance of research security in today’s academic and industrial landscapes, and how the RISC Institute services as a leading national and international resource for research security training and programs.

Texas A&M System’s RISC Institute hosts 9th annual Academic security and counter Exploitation (ASCE) program
Feb. 6, 2025 – Born from a commitment to safeguarding the integrity of academic research, the Academic Security and Counter Exploitation (ASCE) program, brings together 600 leaders from federal agencies, 150+ universities and 30 countries to shape the future of academic research security. Spearheaded by The Texas A&M University System’s RISC Institute, the conference is the largest of its kind and fosters a sense of community among university research security professionals, uniting them in a collaborative defense against emerging threat.

With nearly $1.4 billion in annual research expenditures, much of it federally funded, leaders say A&M’s proactive approach is helping shape national policies while also driving new technological advancements.
